In forging die work, if the main parts of forging die are found to be too badly damaged to be repaired randomly, the forging die should be removed and repaired by the die maintainer.
1.The principles of renovation are as follows:
(1) Die parts exchange or part update, must meet the forging die design requirements.
(2) After the renovation of the forging die parts matching accuracy, to meet the original design requirements of the forging, and to re-grind and adjust.
(3) The overhauled forging die must meet the quality requirements after retrial forging.
(4) The maintenance cycle of forging die must meet the demand of forging production.

2.The revision method is as follows:
Two methods are generally used in mold renovation, namely, Mosaic method and renewal method.
When part of the mold is damaged, a piece of insert with corresponding shape can be inserted on the basis of the original, and the precision and shape of the original size can be reached after being repaired and ground.
The updating method refers to replacing the parts with new ones and conforming to the accuracy and quality of the original damaged parts.

3.Steps of forging reconditioning mold:
(1) Clean the grease and sundries of the damaged molds.
(2) Comprehensively check the size, precision, surface quality of each part, and make records, fill in the repair card.
(3) Determine the renovation plan and renovation site.
(4) Remove the mold.When disassembled, he did not need a new calamus location.
(5) The replacement parts and components produced by processing.
(6) Assembly, test punch and adjustment.
(7) Records repair archives and use effect
